    วัดพระธาตุ (จังหวัดนครศรีธรรมราช)

     

    วัดพระมหาธาตุวรมหาวิหาร นั้นเป็น “สถานที่ท่องเที่ยว”ที่เกี่ยวกับประวัติศาสตร์ทาง “ภาคใต้”อีกแห่งหนึ่งที่น่าสนใจเป็นอย่างมาก วัดพระมหาธาตุวรมหาวิหาร หรือที่ชาวนครนั้นเรียกว่า วัดพระธาตุ และยังเป็นโบราณสถานสถานที่ศักดิ์สิทธิ์ และ ยังเป็นมิ่งขวัญชาวเมืองนครศรีธรรมราช และตลอดจนพุทธศานิกชนทั้งหลายอีกด้วย และสัญลักษณ์ของจังหวัดนครศรีธรรมราชที่เรารู้จักกันแพร่หลาย นั้นก็คือ พระบรมธาตุเจดีย์  เพราะตั้งอยู่ ภายในวัดพระมหาธาตุวรมหาวิหาร เพราะเนื่องจากเป็นที่บรรจุ พระบรมสารีริกธาตุของพระพุทธเจ้า และในปัจจุบัน ทางด้านกรมศิลปากรนั้นได้ประกาศจดทะเบียนวัดพระมหาธาตุเป็นโบราณสถานอีกด้วย นับเป็นปูชนียสถานที่สำคัญที่สุดแห่งหนึ่งของภาคใต้ในขณะนี้

     

    “พระบรมธาตุเจดีย์” นั้นเป็นเจดีย์ที่เป็นสถาปัตยกรรมที่เป็นแบบล้านนา และยังมีจุดเด่นอยู่ที่ยอดเจดีย์นั้นเอง และยังซึ่งหุ้มด้วยทองคำแท้อีกด้วย และจากความเชื่อ เล่าสืบตอบกันมาว่า องค์พระธาตุนั้นจะประกอบด้วยทองรูปพรรณและของมีค่ามากมาย และยังจรดปลายเจดีย์ เพราะซึ่งเป็นสิ่งของมีค่าเหล่านี้นั้น ล้วนแต่พุทธศสานิกชนนำมาถวายแด่องค์พระสัมมาสัมพุทธเจ้า เพื่อให้ตนได้พบกับนิพพาน และจากคำขวัญประจำ จังหวัดเมืองประวัติศาสตร์ พระธาตุทองคำ ชื่นฉ่ำธรรมชาติ แร่ธาตุอุดม เครื่องถมสามกษัตริย์ มากวัดมากศิลป์ ครบสิ้นกุ้งข้อความ ว่า พระธาตุทองคำ นั้นจึงหมายถึง ยอดเจดีย์ทองของพระบรมธาตุนั่นเองอีกด้วย และถ้าหากใครนั้นต้องการ ที่จะชมยอดพระธาตุสีทองที่เหลืองอร่ามอย่างใกล้ชิดแล้วนั้น ทางพระบรมธาตุเจดีย์นั้นมีให้บริการกล้องส่องทางไกล ให้ใช้บริการและการเสนอราคานั้นก็แล้วแต่ว่าจะตกลงกัน อย่างไร ว่าจะชื่นชม ความงดงามนั้นนานเพียงใด ด้วยความมีชื่อเสียงและศักดิ์สิทธิ์ของพระบรมธาตุเจดีย์ นั้นจึงเป็นจุดที่น่าสนใจและดึงดูดให้นัก“ท่องเที่ยว” ที่จากทั่วสารทิศนั้นได้แวะมากราบไหว้ขอพรคู่กันไปนั้นเอง

    เกาะค้างคาว นั้นเป็นสถานที่ท่องเที่ยวที่น่าไปเป็นอย่างมากอีกแห่งหนึ่ง เพราะ เกาะค้างคาว นั้นเป็นเกาะที่อยู่ใกล้ชายหาดบางเบนมากที่สุด และจากหาดบางเบนนั้นสามารถนั่งเรือไปยังเกาะค้างคาวได้อย่างง่าย และการเดินทางไปเกาะค้างคาว โดยจะใช้เวลาประมาณ 40 นาที นั้นห่างจากที่ ทำการของอุทยานแห่งชาติแหลมสน นั้นประมาณ 9 กิโลเมตร เกาะนี้นั้นจะมีหาดทรายขาว และละเอียด ที่อยู่รอบเกาะสามารถและสามารถดำน้ำชมปะการัง ได้ทั้งแบบน้ำตื้นและน้ำลึก เกาะค้างคาวแห่งนี้ เป็นที่อาศัยของค้างคาวแม่ไก่นับเป็นพันๆตัวเลยทีเดียว ถือยังเป็นเกาะที่สวยงามอีกที่หนึ่งของ“ภาคใต้” อีกด้วย
